How Sublimation Works on a Jacket
Sublimation uses heat to transfer a design into compatible polyester-based fabric. It allows full-colour artwork on suitable panels without a raised print layer. The final appearance depends on the fabric, artwork, colour matching and jacket construction.
We review the jacket pattern before deciding which panels can be printed. Zips, lining, cuffs, pockets and the way the panels join all affect the finished design. Some parts may be better made in solid fabric or decorated using another method.

From Artwork to Finished Jackets
- Send the brief. Provide your jacket reference, design files, estimated quantity, size range, destination and target date.
- Confirm the specification. We review the fabric, print panels, jacket construction, artwork layout and quotation.
- Approve the full order. Production starts after the required details, artwork and payment are confirmed. If you need a first jacket for approval, request this as part of the confirmed full order before production is scheduled.
- Produce and deliver. We print and assemble the jackets to the approved specification, then arrange delivery to the agreed destination.

Can every jacket fabric be sublimated?
No. Sublimation works on compatible polyester-based materials. The fabric, colour, finish and jacket pattern must be checked before we confirm where the design can be printed.
Can I combine sublimation with embroidery or patches?
Depending on the jacket and artwork, we can discuss a combination of printed panels and other decoration methods. The placement and construction need to be confirmed in the project specification.
How much does a custom sublimation jacket cost?
We quote each project based on quantity, fabric, printing coverage, jacket construction, lining, additional decoration, sizing and delivery destination. Send your artwork and requirements for a quotation.
How long does production take?
The schedule depends on the approved design, quantity and current production conditions. Custom jackets often require around 3–8 weeks after the specification, artwork and payment are confirmed; more complex projects may take longer. Tell us your deadline when you enquire.
Can you make one jacket first for approval?
A first jacket can be discussed after the full order has been confirmed, if arranged in advance. It can involve extra cost and time. We do not accept a separate single-jacket sample order before confirmation of the full order.
